When buying Doxycycline on the internet, make sure that you are asked to answer several questions in the form of a reliable health form and that your order is checked by a qualified doctor.

What is Doxycycline?

Doxycycline is an antibiotic drug, from the tetracycline family. It is a generic version of the drug Vibramycin, from the Pfizer laboratory which has multiple curative functions. This medicine can be prescribed to treat a large number of bacterial infections including eyes, bronchi, lungs, urinary tract, and genitalia. Doxycycline is also prescribed as a preventive treatment against malaria.

Doxycycline is considered to be an effective antibiotic treatment for treating infections. Indeed, the doxycycline molecule belongs to the medicinal category of bacteriostats and has in particular proven its effectiveness in treating chlamydia.

Doxycycline active agent

Active substance: Doxycycline

Excipients: Microcrystalline cellulose, Dimethicone, Iron oxide yellow, Hypromellose, Lactose monohydrate, Macrogol 6000, Magnesium stearate, Colloidal precipitated anhydrous silica, Titanium dioxide

Doxycycline blocks the production of proteins necessary for the growth of bacterial cells. As a result, the bacteria chlamydia trachomatis weakens and will be permanently destroyed by the immune system.

The treatment offered by our pharmacy is a generic of Actavis laboratories. Please watch out for medicines sold on the internet and make sure they are authorized for sale.

Currently, doxycycline is the treatment of choice for treating chlamydia. Previously, azithromycin was also the first-line treatment. However, due to increasing levels of antibiotic resistance, azithromycin is now a second-line treatment.

Patients who test positive for chlamydia can order treatment from our online pharmacy. In cases where Doxycycline is not suitable (allergy to certain ingredients, for example), we generally recommend azithromycin. There is another second-line treatment called erythromycin, however, this is not currently available through our online service.

Doxycycline dosage

Doxycycline activis is a generic medicine in tablet form made with Doxycycline (100 mg).

The usual doses are: p take two tablets a day for 7 days.

Doxycycline dosage

To avoid any side effects, especially digestive disorders, we recommend that you take doxycycline with your meals with a full glass of water. And that at least 1 hour before bedtime, doxycycline should not be absorbed while lying down.

Doxycycline: what is chlamydia?

Chlamydia is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in France.

It is spread during unprotected sex (sex without a condom) and is particularly common in sexually active adolescents and young adults.

If you are under 25 and sexually active, it is recommended that you get tested for chlamydia every year or when you change sex partners.

Symptoms of chlamydia

Most people with chlamydia don’t notice any symptoms and don’t know they have it.

If you develop symptoms, you may experience:

In women

  • pain when urinating
  • unusual discharge from the vagina, penis, or buttocks
  • in women, stomach pain, bleeding after sex, and bleeding between periods

In humans

  • pain and swelling of the testicles

If you think you have been at risk for a sexually transmitted infection (STI) or if you have symptoms of chlamydia, you can purchase your self-test from an online pharmacy.

How do you get chlamydia?

Chlamydia is a bacterial infection. The bacteria are usually spread during sex or by contact with infected genital fluids (semen or vaginal fluids).

You can get chlamydia:

  • having unprotected vaginal, anal, or oral sex
  • sharing sex toys that are not washed or covered with a new condom each time they are used
  • contact of your genitals with those of your partner – this means you can get chlamydia even if there is no penetration
  • having infected semen or vaginal fluids entering the eye
  • It can also be passed from a pregnant woman to her baby.

Chlamydia cannot be transmitted through casual contacts, such as kissing and hugging, or by sharing baths, towels, swimming pools, toilet seats, or cutlery.

Is chlamydia serious?

Although chlamydia usually doesn’t cause any symptoms and can normally be treated with a short course of antibiotics, it can be serious if not treated quickly.

If left untreated, the infection can spread to other parts of your body and lead to long-term health problems, such as pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), epididymal-orchitis (inflammation of the testes ), and infertility.

This is why it is important to get tested and treated as soon as possible if you think you have chlamydia.

Doxycycline: effective treatment against chlamydia

Chlamydia can usually be treated effectively with antibiotics. Over 95% of people will be cured if they take their antibiotics correctly.

You can start taking antibiotics after your test results have confirmed that you have chlamydia.

The two most commonly prescribed antibiotics for chlamydia are:

  • doxycycline – 2 capsules per day for a week
  • azithromycin – given as 2 or 4 tablets at a time

Your doctor may administer different antibiotics, such as amoxicillin or erythromycin (treatments not available from our pharmacy), if you are allergic, pregnant, or breastfeeding. A longer course of antibiotics can be used.

Some people experience side effects during treatment, but these are usually mild. The most common side effects are abdominal pain, diarrhea, feeling sick, and vaginal candidiasis in women.

Doxycycline without prescription

Doxycycline is a widely used antibiotic for treating chlamydia. It manages to eliminate bacteria thanks to its active principle. Doxycycline is also used to treat infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract infections, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) but also gastrointestinal infections. Doxycycline is only available with a prescription, so you will not be able to purchase doxycycline over the counter. However, you can buy your doxycycline treatment without a prescription from an online pharmacy.
